Geometry students have been doing constructions:  producing specific figures using a compass and straightedge.  Here they are working on parallel and perpendicular lines.  They have also been learning how to write equations of lines and graph them.  Graphing a straight line can be difficult when you are standing at the board with a slippery meter-long straightedge.  Meanwhile, students in calculus are doing “simple” problems such as finding the derivative of a function that contains a fraction and a square root.  It took up only about half of the board.
